SADIKI
BIO
Billboard Magazine writer Elaine Oumano put it best when she stated that the then up and coming artist Pancho Kryztal (now known as Sadiki), "...is not the first reggae artist to alternate singing and DJ'ing (rapping) within a single song. Nor is he the only vocalist to do his own background harmonies. But no one before has pulled off this triple threat so effectively."
Since then the multi-talented artist has honed his craft; adding producer, songwriter, engineer, artist manager and music video director and CEO of Skinny Bwoy Records to his list of credits.
Sadiki is a true artist. Hailing from the "land of wood & water" aka Jamaica, his sound is an eclectic mix of Rocksteady, R&B, Reggae, Jazz and Dancehall. "As an artist it's important that you give inspiration the space it needs to be creative", said Sadiki. "Diversity is natural - man cyaan't live by bread alone". he got his major "buss" with the Tony Kelly produced "Gal Dem Everytime" on the buyout Riddim which also featured the mega-hit "Like Glue" by Sean Paul.
He has had four solo albums to date (three released fully independently on his Skinny Bwoy imprint) - “Morning's Come” (Skinny Bwoy), "Lifeline" (Skinny Bwoy/Joe Frasier) , "Jah is the Only King" (Skinny Bwoy), and his latest "Covered in Love" (Skinny Bwoy). His tracks have topped reggae charts in the US, Japan, Africa and the UK. He has been nominated for the prestigious IRAWMA in the category of "Most Promising Artist".
He has produced songs for a long list of reggae artists including Chezidek, Lutan Fyah, George Nooks, Pam Hall, Tony Anthony, Roy Panton & Yvonne Harrison and Siaosi. In 2015 the artist Executive produced “Smooth Jazz Meets Reggae”, the debut solo album from Helen Rogers of Jazzmasters and Paul Hardcastle fame. the following year, he produced and independently released the critically acclaimed acoustic-roots album "Iyahcoustic" by reggae veteran Ronnie Davis.
Through his travels throughout the US, Canada, Japan, Europe and the Caribbean he performed at events/venues such as Japan Splash, Reggae On The River (California), New Jersey Reggae Festival, The Theatre at Madison Square Garden (NY), International Festival of Life (Chicago), House of Blues (New Orleans, Los Angeles), Calgary Reggae Festival. He has shared the stage with Buju Banton, Gyptian, Ky-Mani Marley, Shaggy, Luciano, Wayne Wonder, Maxi Priest, Marcia Griffiths, Leroy Sibbles, Beenie Man, Beres Hammond, Hepcat, Wailing Souls, Tony Rebel, Yaz Alexander among many other great performers.
